WHAT IS BEE POLLEN?
Pollen is the male gamete of flowers. It is collected by bees as the protein portion of their diet.
Beekeepers harvest Bee Pollen from foraging bees before it enters the hive to become part of the colony's food reserves. Bee Pollen is marketed in many forms: granules, tablets or powder. The granules form is what the beekeeper collects from the hive. These granules may be dried further, which will help them retain their quality. The powder form is made from ground granules.
